Bio:

The reason it has taken me so terribly long to get this completed for you is that I knew nothing about this reunion until I received a questionnaire from Jane Bowden with specific directions for completion.

As soon as I knew what to do, I followed the explicit directions given to me.  Of course like most of you, I went to Larry’s website to peruse the past forty years of your lives so mine would be of equal importance, at least, to those that I could view.

I am sure you can imagine my horror when I read Spain’s because she had stolen my IDEA!  I had planned to tell you of my BROTHEL ON THE BEACH in its present location for the past sixteen years.  Because of her, I can only reveal the following:

I met the “Man of My Dreams” in April of 1974 while I was Tennessee State Director in charge of finding those who were charged by the FEDS to find these people.  Many of you may recall the tornadoes on April Fools Day in this year.  Grover was sent to direct the Red Cross operation in Tennessee (he lived in Savannah, GA).  To make a longer story shorter, we met, fell madly in love, and were married on May 25, 1974.  I moved to Savannah to resume my former life as a 1st grade teacher, got pregnant in 1975, and we were blessed with the most gorgeous child in the world!  His name is Chandler, and he was married in October of 2004 to a lovely young lady from Birmingham, Alabama.  He met Kirsten while living in Nashville as a Manufacturing Rep for Dewalt, and she was a senior at Vanderbilt.  Like his Dad, he prefers younger women. J   They have been in Denver for the past two years, and are in the process of moving to Savanah, GA with Chandler’s jo as I type this.

Grover retired from American National Red Cross in 1988, the year I received my Master of Education in Reading from GA State University, and the next year we came to Florida.  Although, I have done several other jobs in my life after college, the person in charge of our lives always saw to it that I came back to teaching so this time I listened.  While living at the “World’s Most Famous Beach,” I have been in the County Office as a Specialist for reading, have taught 5th grade, 7th grade reading, been an Assistant Principal, was a Middle School Reading Resource Teacher, and Elementary Resource Teacher, and am back in first grade for the last 2 years of my career.  Are you impressed yet?  Okay, I saved the best for last!  I have just completed two years as the President of the Florida Reading Association (totally voluntary)!

I know that this is boring in comparison to the BIOS of Jill, Elaine, Wayne, and Ken.  My “Claim to Fame” is I was the first one to divorce from our class (sorry that I started that trend).
